Lalu Prasad Yadav (born 1948) is an Indian politician from the state of Bihar. He is currently the Union Minister for the Indian Railways in the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government and the president of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, one of many political parties in India.
