On The Simpsons, many characters have catch phrases. The following list details some of the characters' most common.

Homer Simpson

In the German version this is replaced by "NEIN!" in the dubbing process. Also in the Spanish version this is replaced by "Ou!". In the French version, it is slightly altered as "T'oh!"
  • Mmmm... (food, beer, or anything he desires)[and then drools from his mouth!]
  • Why you little!
In the Spanish version this is replaced by "¡Pequeño demonio!" (You little demon!) or "te voy a..." (I'm gonna ... you) or "pero seras..." (you damn...)
In the Italian version this is replaced by "Brutto bacarospo!" (neologism).
Usually followed by Bart's choking
  • Woo-hoo!
In the Italian version this is sometimes replaced by "Mitico!" in the dubbing process.
  • "BART!"
  • "I am Evil Homer"
  • "I am so smart! I am so smart! S-M-R-T, I mean S-M-A-R-T!"

Bart Simpson

  • Ay, caramba!

In the Italian version this is replaced by "Cucciati il Calzino!" (suck my socks) in the dubbing process
In Spain this is replaced by "Multiplicate por cero!" in the dubbing process
In the French version, this is replaced by "Va te faire shampouiner" (go get shampooed)
  • Get bent!
  • Hey, Otto-man!
    To which Otto responds: "Hey, Bart-dude!" (Though his surname is Mann so it could be Otto Mann)
  • Yoink! (used both as an interjection as well as a verb)
  • I didn't do it. (Which was actually the primary focus of one episode where Bart is thrust into the spotlight on the Krusty the Klown show because of the saying.)
  • I'm Bart Simpson, who the hell are you?
  • On older shows he used to say "Cowabunga!"

Lisa Simpson

Lisa doesn't actually have a catchphrase. At the end of "Bart Gets Famous," after many other main characters offer their catch phrases, she says "If anyone wants me, I'll be in my room."

Maggie Simpson

  • (Sucks her pacifier)
  • On occasion she may say "ahh."

Marge Simpson

  • Hrrrrmmmmm...

  • I see. (said in a low, sinister voice whenever someone disagrees with him)
